We think fixed wireless access is one of the services, but we call 5G a mobile network service—just like 4G

It’s certainly still a cellular service, but with a single fast mobile internet plan, the writing is on the wall, with more spectrum allowing hundreds of GB of monthly use, mobile carriers will have no trouble entering the fixed-line markets and undercutting traditional wired services, after all, OPTUS are already doing it now with 4G – https://smb.optus.com.au/opfiles/Shop/All/cis/Cis%20Documents/1415714_$80_Home_Wireless_Broadband_200GB.pdf albeit only up to 12mbps so far.

I wonder how long it will take technology journalists to realise this too, they’re still hypnotised by the fibre hype which started 10 years ago.
